Joseph is right. Please, do NOT experiment with Vitamins randomly. An excess of one of the B-complex will result in a deficiency of the others, as they work in balance. Excess magnesium will lead to a potassium deficiency as they too work in balance. Playing with these will do more harm than good. Choose a good multi-vite to insure your child's health, but don't push one vitamin over another.

Because autism can be so devastating, people tend to grasp at straws or espouse some baseless theory like mercury in vaccines. Until a cause and cure are identified, follow accepted practices for children on the autism spectrum.

There are botonicals that can help. With this condition, there is evidence that trace minerals are not being processed in the occipital region of the brain. The problem is not a lack of minerals though but an inability to process them. There may be an enzyme deficiency. These children are usually sugar sensitive and should have refined sugars removed from the diet. They also respond negatively to food coloring. Dietary changes are very important. you may try these natural alternatives. You perhaps should look for some outstanding feature that is accomplished by this child.. very often they have abilities that are somewhat astounding.. I know of one (an adult 26) who is on call with the local veterinarian's office for surgery and even advice.. seems they can have an enormous knowledge of animals with the empathy to make them very effective..

No, autism is a defect in the brain, not just a vitamin deficiency. There is no known cure for it yet. Hopefully soon though.
