98 Kia Sportage huh?? my first piece of advice, SELL IT FAST!!!! they are a money trap .... i'm not trying to put down your car, but i used to work at the local Kia dealership and still work on them some at my current place of employment ...... the shocks shouldn't cost too much to replace .... i think i may know what the shaking that you are talking about when trying to go over 60 is ..... it is probably a high speed or high RPM misfire .... try taking it in for a major tune-up and if it hasn't already been replaced, have the timing belt replaced .... the timing belt usually wouldn't cause the shaking, but it will cost more than the car is worth in damage to the engine if it were to break .....

Well young lady I believe to really have several problems that really won't cost much. First the shocks, that's pretty cheap.
Second I think the fuel filter is partly plugged, this to is cheap.
I'm thinkin' you might need a tune up, this to is cheap.

shocks are'nt nearly as expensive to replace as struts are and should be replaced every 60k miles or 5yrs, as far as the shaking, you need to have your tires balanced. As the rubber wears off of the tires, the center of balance shifts and the tires have to be rebalanced.
