weeks after I take them out. So in the interim, my hair will be rough, real rough. My natural texture is spongy and SUPER thick. How should I do my hair for the two weeks in between? Please keep in mind I exercise and sweat 2-4 times per week, and I work in a professional office. What nice, professional styles are there that are easy to maintain and easy to take out after a couple weeks?

How long is your hair? I really can't give you advice on what to do with your hair because my hair is totally different. If you can, you can try to cornrow it, or you could twist it. No braid, but twist them in little sections. But again, I don't know how long your hair is, so I don't know if that would even look good.

Like another poster said, you do not give enough information. If it is long, pull it back with a comb or headband and make a nice puff. If it is on the short side. Use activator and pat it into a nice Afro. I agree with the other poster who said to go for a natural hairstyle. There is so much you can do with braids and twists.

i am all natural too. i don't have dreads, but i do the two strand twists in a bun and sometimes straight back. depending on your hair length and if you have a perm perm or not the next best thing would be to slick it back in a pony tail and make a bun with your hair or buy a hair pieces to make the bun

Spongy or puffy..You could wet your hair use styling gel with a siff brush and pul it back. Honestly, if you do not want to go natural. You are going to have to use a lot of gel

here is the best for me and i pray you will consider this!
No matter what you do go natural! I have dreads in my hair and they are very powerful and i do nothing to my hair but wash is all!
this is something that was here first and will never go out of style believe that!
try it dont worry it takes time but you will free yourself and get out of the trap that we must duplicate the white stringy hair! wow how lost we are as blacks we need to embrace and love our selves!

THE FIRST THING I WOULD SUGGEST FOR U TO DO IS BE VERY GENTLY WITH YOUR HAIR JUST COMING OUT OF BRIDES YOU MUST CONDITION IT AND GET A RE CONSTRUCTOR TO MAKE IT STRONG FOR WHAT EVER STYLE YOU PLAN ON WEARING TWISTS WITH SCARFS AND HEAD BANDS SHOULD CARRY YOU THROUGH A COUPLE OF WEEKS JUST DON'T PULL OR STRESS IT WITH RUBBER BANDS AND BOBBY PINS

Braids or cornrows. Straw curls are nice, with a pretty scarf that matches your outfits thats cute too, and they last.

Twists provide an option. You can get them as small or large as you'd like. Plus, they are simpler to remove.
