I have never had to transport a suit on an airplane and was wondering how others went about it. I generally dont check baggage so I dont really have a suitcase or anything......

Put your suit in a garment bag. When you are boarding the plane ask the flight attendant to hang it in the closet for you. They don't mind doing this. That way you don't have to stuff your suit in the overhead bin where it will get all mangled up.

No, seriously, you can get all sorts of luggage where the suit can be carried folded on its hanger. And there's room for shoes, and other clothes too. And you can carry it onto the plane.
