Ask your OB- Why would you ask all of us non doctors this question? I'm not trying to be rude but I am 36 weeks pregnant and I wouldn't trust any of these answers. Don't put your baby at risk. Your doctor knows what is best... for both of you. I take Serequel and my OB gave me the okay, but your pregnancy could be different.

You are not being specific enough like what antidepressants are you taking? Its been my understanding that no medications should be taken during a pregnancy and if that is the fact then you 'll have to decide pills or a healthy baby but be aware if you know, once established, that a medication is harmful to the baby you can be prosecuted under the law for endangering your child Did a quick search IE and clicked on magnifying glass ans asked are antidepressants safe while pregnant-found Welbutrin to be safe but this is also the Internet and no guarantee info is accurate. Why have you not discussed this with your OB-GYN Physician since he/she would be more knowledgeable about this than your Psychiatrist or a Rheumatologist.I suggest that you get the facts before you take or not take from a most reliable source the OB_GYN Physician

Who prescribed them, the shrink or the rheumatologist? I presume you've got a obstetrician keeping an eye on you. If so, go by what the obstetrician says. I didn't realize a rheumatologist was qualified to give advice about meds to a pregnant woman. I would think that would be your OB.

Some are safe to take and some are not. Talk to your Ob Gyn. There is a mild risk with any of them, but you and your doctor have to decide if the risk is worth more serious issues when you are not on the medication. I took Lexapro while pregnant and my baby was born very healthy and no problems.

i'm fairly particular that I examine some the position you need to stay faraway from St John wort, as I had a herb backyard even as i develop into pregnant and it form of feels to adhere in my concepts for some reason. also there are some supplementations you mustn't have any better doses of (except what you get evidently), i undergo in concepts I had to offer up utilising a moisturizer that had diet A in it (i imagine it develop into "A"). pay attention that with any mission to do with emotion can make probabilities of PND better and infrequently you do not realize you've submit natal depresstion till you come back out of it or till someone confronts you with it. So regardless of in case you haven't any themes, guarantee that each and absolutely everyone dealing with you and your infant do not forget that you may want to be able to be liable to PND, because it will make it a lot a lot less stressful to comprehend your infant's desires. And in case you do not already have a established clinical specialist with understanding of your historic previous, that's better effective to have a clinical specialist who can get to understand you properly sufficient to deal including your treatment in the technique the being pregnant and after, as hormones and thoughts in hardship-free words worsen once you eventually have the baby and also you extremely elect to relish each and every second because it is going through so right away!

That is an important decision. There isn't much real research out there on this, it would be hard to find people to try it.
There haven't been any reports of many problems, you could contact a second shrink for a second opinion. Obviously your mental health is very important through a time like this.
Good luck.

I was on Prozac 20 mg when I was pregnant. My Ob/Gyn said it was perfectly safe. He said it did not crossover to the baby. I had my son in 2004 and didn't have any problems at all. He's perfectly fine and full of energy. You should ask your ob/gyn about it and not your rheumatologist.

Call your OB or mention it at the next visit. My friend was on Prozac before getting pregnant and switched to Zoloft because it is safer for the baby during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. You don't have to suffer depression while pregnant, most OBs would prefer you didn't. Your OB is the best doctor to talk to, they are trained specifically in what is safe during pregnancy.

NO medication is completely safe and without risks to the baby, however if you "need" to take these and the benefits outweigh the risks...then as long as the prescribing doctor said it is ok..go ahead. I would still run it by my OB/GYN just to get his/her opinion as well. Good luck.

You MUST ask your doctor. It depends on the medication, the dosage, etc.
You CANNOT just go by what people say here!
Speak to an OBGYN
