I'm not entirely sure if it still holds true (I hope it does), but a few years ago there was a story on the news about how West Allis, Wisconsin was voted one of the most lesbian friendly cities either in the state, or in the country (can't remember). I can say that I do know quite a few gays and lesbians (my brother included) who live here and in surrounding cities.

Portland OR is large. yet truthfully you already understand that. I used to stay in Snoqualmie/North Bend yet spent maximum of my time in Seattle. i admire Seattle, yet over-all i found Portland to be between the main friendly cities everywhere and intensely gay friendly. As for a manner lots money you would be wanting..? this is confusing to declare. In Portland I lived on the corner of NW 14th and Hoyt, diagonally around the line from Starbucks. yet i replaced into sharing a huge domicile with countless different adult males, so the expenditures have been low priced.

New Hope, PA. A totally gay town, but I don't know how $ friendly it is? Actually the best cost of living would be up north of Allentown and just hang out in New Hope.

I think many places out here in the west are. This is Oregon and well I would think our town would be?
I wish my son would want to come back here and I can tell you from his experience?
Outskirts of Seattle Washington I bet? Then again how "small" of a town we talking? Our town is 700, I think it will hit 800 sometime? Belview (sp) is a fantastic outlet from Seattle!
It is a shame that one has to ask such a question, it is almost 2007, not 1947. Society almost makes a person want to scream sometimes!

I just read the post up there, Society almost makes a person want to scream sometimes!

I dont think many small towns are gay friendly...unless you are up in rhode island or vermont....but its expensive to live up there...Houston has a large gay community...and is very gay friendly...even in the suberbs..and its really cheap to live here
