you want to take a portion of your child's paycheck, who is not going to be living with you and trying to survive on their own while working at some low end job? For what? are you evil? are you asking for that child to be emancipated and not want to talk to you?

Just because they were held back doesn't mean anything, what is the age of your child? If it is 18 then no.

Secondly, perhaps you should rethink what you're about to do. You're trying to take money from your child who is going to have one hell of a time making ends meet in the first place.

You seem selfish, regardless of what your child has cost you to raise them, you should want them to at the very least have a successful start in life.

I'm really glad you are not my parent... I'm going to call my parents and thank them for not being like you.

I'm not sure about the law but I wouldn't think you can take there pay check even if they live with you -even if they are under 18 - they are the ones working for it not the parents , it's there money.
When my kids lived at home and worked we never took there money ,now if they want to give you some of it to maybe help out once in awhile that's ok - but you should never make them give it.

are you serious? You are pathetic.

Sounds like they will be over 18 when he or she finally graduates from high school.....why have them move out? Let he or she finish school first.

Get off your duff and support your child!..it's your duty until they are 18.

If you try to take their money when they are 18...that's theft. But why take it anyways?

Unless you are some sort of loser and expect your CHILD to support your lazy azz.

why will your child have to move out, if a child is still in high school it is a parents responsibilty to support that child and if he/she has moved out than no you have no legal right to take any of that childs pay check, plus you would have no right to it since you are slacking on your end as a PARENT to support YOUR CHILD who is still in school, there fore the child must do so them self!

Yep, you are still considered the parant and what you say goes. I work at a group home and one of the kids works on the weekends and they take her check but not to use but put into a trust fund for when she is 18. If they are not living with you, you are going to have a major problem with the law on that one. If they are not living with you, you shouldn't be taking it.

you were really taking your child's check? and now you want to know if you can still steal from them now that they're on their own?

Nice.

Because of the way you asked the question, I don't really believe that it's real. But if it is, that's really scummy.

NO WAY!!
this question makes me cringe. Parents should not touch their child's money! Parents like that should be disowned or shunned completely.

Sounds like you are a piece of trash, well at least you were 7 years ago.
