THEY'LL LET YOU KNOW ABOUT THE JOB. BUT SOMETIMES THEY NEVER LET YOU KNOW. GOOD LUCK.

I assume you mean potential employer? It may mean forget it but the best thing to do is ask what date they will be contacting applicants regarding their decision. If they can't give a date then call them once a week to ask if the position has been filled.
Also, don't forget to send a Thank You note for the interview.
If it is your present employer it may mean you're canned but I'd call in a few days and make them clarify the situation.

It depends on the person giving the interview. Most of the time it means they have more applicants to interview or that you are not exactly what they are looking for.

Go bake after 4 to 6 days and check up on the job. Some times this will get you the job even if you are not what they are looking for because it show that you have a real interest in the job. That may be all it takes to make the difference.

Sorry to tell you but usually it does mean...thanks but no thanks. It is a possibility they have other candidates that they would like to consider first before "jumping the gun". Dont give up though. If you haven't received a letter in the mail within a week or two of the interview stating that they have chosen a different candidate then you still might have a shot. Call within 3 days or so from the interview to tell them that you are still interested in the position and would like to be considered.

possible they will call you or not. So just wait a few weeks. If it had been 3 weeks and you still didn't get a call back for the second round of interviews, then forget it.

I might mean yes or no. Doesn't necessarily mean they don't want you. it might be that according to their company hiring process, they interview potential candidates and they make a return call on the ones they deem to be a good asset to the company.

Not necessarily. It can mean that they have more people to interview and that they will give you the courtesy of telling whether you were selected or not.

maybe and maybe not....they might say that in general...wait a couple weeks and if you do not hear from them, they look elsewhere, and i would continue looking for other job openings.....
