he told me he thought I was "the one" until he found out I was married. He recently noticed my taillight was out. Well a couple days later, he went out and bought me new bulbs! And he installed the light for me! How did he know which bulbs to get, you ask? He went to Pep Boys and looked up every year my car has been made (since 2000)!

Uh, guess he still likes me...

I shouldn't have let him install the bulb though. THEN I said I'd take him for soda to repay him. Dumb and dumber. Now I feel REALLY bad. It's not like I slept with him, but it was still wrong. So I'm scared I'm in too deep now. What do I do to let him down easy? It's my fault!

UPDATE-

I talked to him and he denied any feelings for me. It was obvious he was lying b/c he was embarassed I was giving him the "friend" speech. It was sad. Either way, it's out in the open now and he's clear I don't reciprocate his attraction.

There is nothing wrong with taking someone for a soda if they helped you. You simply have to be honest with him and tell him you're only interested in friendship, it's no one's fault. Just a misunderstanding. There is NO drama here.

The sooner you tell this guy how you feel the better. Don't keep him hanging. What about you wedding rings? Let him know that you think he's a great guy but you are not available.

whoopsie... but you are still ok... just advise the man that you are married, appreciate his help, but that you are just not interested in anything else but friendship... if he does not respect the ring, then ask him this.... why would he think you would want a man that does not respect a married woman ?? he must think the ring means nothing, which also means he would cheat on anyone who was gullible enough to date him... don't ya think ?? God bless
