He did it to protect BJ Clinton's "image" post 9/11. He probably nabbed a few documents that show BJ was too busy with the interns to take care of OBL

That always seemed strange to me.
When I was at the National archives you have a research assistant assigned to each person. All material is signed in and out also inspected before and after each researcher sees it.
Just to get in and start a research project at the National Archives is so complicated that it seems easier to walk into the Whitehouse uninvited.
Now combine that with the knowledge that all archive material is classified. That does not mean it is secret or of any current importance to national security. But it also does not mean it isn't.
So what was really going on
