Absolutely. Everytime I have done that, it has turned out for the best. In fact, sometimes when I haven't called them, I have ended up talking to them for some reason or another. I bet that they are thinking about calling you too. Someone told me that whenever you start thinking about someone, that person starts thinking about you at the same time.

First of all make sure that the reason you stopped talking to them can be sorted out, no point making contact and then finding out there still chewing over the past in a bitter mood. Sometimes a bit of humble pie goes a long way, and if there true friends time makes no difference to your relationship with them, good luck be brave take the chance what have you to lose but everything to gain, TJ

That all depends. Was it just a lost of time that stopped you from talking before..or did you have a big fight about something?..Either way, if you feel like calling and making the first move...go for it!..Spill out what's happend during the time..resolve whatever if needed..just get back to talking. You can never have too many friends.
(unless, this person was abusive or something to you..then no..stay clear and far)

it depends to what reasons you dint call your friends, were you busy in something? or was it intentionally that you didnt call them or is it NOW that you need the help of some of your friends is why you want to call them???
It all depends why?
but then you can give it a shot! and tell them the truth as to why you didnt call them. They will understand if they take you as a friend.
GOOD LUCK!

Only if you want to talk to them. Mind you, if you have waited 3 years, they probably won't even remember you, let alone think of you as a friend.

ok it depends ...

you have to think about why you haven't talked to them for so long ...

If you just merely lost contact then i think you should talk to them. This could then lead on to you perhaps being close mates again. you never know, maybe they're sitting there wondering if they should call you too ... :-p
