Yes, you can pay someone, or get paid, through paypal. There is no cost to the payer. The person who gets paid pays a small fee, I'm not sure just what.

The main advantage to the payer is you're not giving out your credit card number to everybody you buy something from; you're somewhat protected. For the person getting paid, their buyers are probably more confident paying them through an established venue, like paypal, rather than giving them their credit card info.

Paypal is like a cred it card or debit card. You can pay someone for a purchase or service and the recipient pays a fee according to the amount of money sent. You can receive payment from another party to your paypal account and pay a fee.

and you pay to someone else's account if they have paypal.
others can also transfer $ to your account
its free.
and fast.

They don't charge you to send money, but they charge 4% to receive it....
