Types of Poems and Samples
Haiku – Poems about nature, three lines long, the first line is five syllables, the second line is seven syllables, and the third line is five syllables.
Fallen petals rise
back to the branch – I watch
oh…butterflies
Cinquain – The requirements for a cinquain poem are below, along with a sample.

A thing that kills life.
Terminator
The traditional cinquain is based on a syllable count.
nline 1 - 2 syllables
line 2 - 4 syllables
line 3 - 6 syllables
line 4 - 8 syllables
line 5 - 2 syllables
nThe modern cinquain is based on a word count of words of a certain type.
nline 1 - one word (noun) a title or name of the subject
line 2 - two words (adjectives) describing the title
line 3 - three words (verbs) describing an action related to the title
line 4 - four words describing a feeling about the titlem, a complete sentence
line 5 - one word referring back to the title of the poem
Ballad
nA poem that is written about an event.
nIt usually contains a repetitive refrain (like the chorus in popular songs.)
nIt focuses on the action, not the characters.
nWas originally meant to be sung (so the story would live on.)

Villanelle
A fixed 19 line form.
nSix stanzas.
nIt repeats lines in a set pattern and has only two rhymes. The rhyme scheme is aba, aba, aba, aba, aba, abaa
nLine 1 repeats in line 6, 12, 18
nLine 3 repeats in line 9, 15, 19

Free Verse Poems
nThis has no set rhyme scheme or form.
nIt also referred to as “open form.”

Acrostic Poems
nAcrostic poetry is a short verse composition, constructed that the initial letters of the lines, taken consecutively, form words.
nIt has its roots in ancient religious times, within religious sects using acrostic writing to identify themselves to other members.

Human feelings can come out in varying read and/or misread ways.You can try using a dictionary to improve your general vocabulary and your vocabulary regarding rhymed words and sentences before using them in a practice of writing poems or any other forms of expressive texts.But the less you use them the more likely you are to feel like you forgot about them,i guess.You could try to write down or type up normal sentences first before trying to replace some words with rhyming synonyms or words.It can take time but then again,time will keep on going anyways.So even if you failed and felt like switching to another subjectively easier form of exaggerated expression,it may not seem like a waste of time if you did not think and feel so.You could read poems and/or use that desire of writing poems in,for example,trying to write a poem about the act of writing poems and your relative feelings and points(if you felt such a desire while googling some perhaps relatively discouraging-from a way of looking at it-stuff)...

A Haiku is a poem with 3 lines: 5 syllables in the first one, 7 syllables in the second one, and 5 again in the third one....that's the only one I know, lol
