there are tricks, but do not install you modem until you have put your i.s.p. disc in. it will prompt you. its easy as childs play, I am 58 and in the u.k. we know. but how come you do not, i lived in Canada, Montreal actually many years ago, i thought you people would be ahead now. Now just follow the bloody instructions. there is a trick where you can plug everything in, then when prompted, unplug the modem, and stick it back in, then the computer, will work. good luck, you will need it.

Well, I'm not positive, but I think you are using the same old phone line. So you installed the software that came with the modem/gateway/router successfully. I'm confused.

And I'm shocked you have a connection, because I couldn't get anything but the router page until they gave me a user name and password, which didn't happen until my service officially started.

the only way u can make your computer go faster is either good maintance of it, or upgrade
as for your internet speed only way to make that go faster is upgrade it.
