Kevlar. Lots of Kevlar. And a 12 gauge shotgun. If you're waterfowling, make sure you do not bring lead shot.
Bring a big old labrador retriever, or make Karl Rove swim after your ducks and geese. They love to jump in the water and fetch birds.
