If the clock loses 10 minutes per hour, then it is running only 5/6 as fast as an accurate clock. So the question becomes "Three hours is 5/6 of what?", or 3 = 5/6 x. Then x = (3)(6/5) = 18/5 = 3 3/5. But 3/5 of an hour is 36 minutes, so the correct time is 3:36 P.M.
