I would like to know why so many people absolutely HATE Beavis and Butthead. Yes, I know its just about the stupidest cartoon ever made, but thats why I find it so entertaining. I am a very intelligent person, and what I see in the cartoon Beavis and Butthead is an extremely well done satire about teenagers. They all have big heads and act like complete morons, maybe not like Beavis and Butthead, but thats the humor in it, the fact that it so exaggerates the reality of it. I believe that rather than taking an extremely stupid person to understand the cartoon, it takes an extremely smart person actually, because so many of their jokes and innuendos are so subtle that you have to pay the utmost attention to catch it. Its like reading a Wheres Waldo book. I have watched it with people that become angry upon hearing their names and none of these people laughed at all even on some of the funniest jokes. I asked them and about 95% of them said it was because they didnt even get it.

I am 16 Im a Junior in High School and Ive noticed its mostly stuck up preppies.
(which are the enemy by the way)
What I think is funny though is that rap music (an oxymoron at that) is waaaay more perverted and immature thanBeavis and Butthead ever was and ever will be, yet preppies and most ppl that like rap hate Beavis and Butthead.

What is there to hate about these guys. Ya they have no morals but neither does rappers. Did you ever see these guy kill anyone? watch a rap music video, not a R&B video. You will see people shot during gang wars, girls raped, little kids who are in elementary school dressing up like whores.
Bevis and Butthead are just dumb and horny. They don't kill anyone and they don't do anything that I would call as bad as rap music.

I love this show so much :) I know it's been a while since u posted this. when I was little I didn't understand it and thought it was weird. Now it is the funniest cartoon out their. I wish that they still had it on mtv. You're right it does take a smart person to understand this. Stupid 16 and pregnant had to take over the channel. And tbh I would rather watch this than anything else. It's so fricking hilarious

Well, since you're asking for it.
The reason why I hate Beavis and Butthead is that they are gross characters. They are ugly and what moral lessons do we derived from this creeps. I certainly won't recommend my kids to watch it.
And since the rude behaviour and ugly animated characters have come out, its the start of the decline of good animated series. Nobody can beat the Uncanny X-Men, Justice of League, Superman, Iron Man, Fantastic Four of yesteryears. We need heroes not morons. Even the revived superheroes of nowadays turned cold.

People hate what B&B represent: The Complete Dumbing Down of Western Culture. Baby boomers hate that there could quite possibly be a living template of those two guys that Mike Judge was able to draw inspriation from. To them it reflects a failure to connect with their kids. Sorry, but I think by stating its smart man's humor, you're putting it at the same level as Lenny Bruce and George Carlin when he was in his prime. Its not at that level. Its at the fast food drive up window level that guys like Dane Cook exist using base, crude formulas to get the gag over to the stoned frat boy crowd. Not saying its bad, but there's been better ambassadors.

I have to admit I own the movie. I don't know why or how I like it so much, but I do. Not sure how Mike Judge does it.

don't take me wrong, I love the show, my ex-stepdad would never let me watch it for years cause he said that little kids heads were to absorbant. my little brother watched it, then the next morning, he starting acting retarted. So, probably adults don't like it because if your too young, you might grow up like what you watch.
