Can anyone tell me where I have to go to file a DBA Trade Name in Maine?

I live in Maine and am starting my own small business from my home. I need to file a DBA (Doing Business As) Trade Name. I was told to register at my county clerk's office, but there doesn't seem to be one! I live in Kennebec County in Maine.

To register a trade name in Maine you need to register with your city or town. I would go to your town/city hall where you register your car or pay your property taxes.
