The original Ottawa Senators played from 1893 until they folded in 1927. They won the Cup in their last year. In 1992 the Sens rejoined the NHL and hasn't won the Cup yet. Going into this season, it's been 79 years without a Cup in Ottawa. The second longest drought would belong to the Chicago Blackhawks (45 years), followed by Toronto (39 years).

now its the Blackhawks they last won it in 1961. and the Leafs are going on their 40th anniversary lol. but the longest ever is the New York Rangers 54 years they went without winning the cup.

Johnna B>>>>>> st-Louis joined the league in 1967 along with California Seals (later the Oakland Seals, California Golden Seals and Cleveland Barons, then merged with Minnesota, then became Dallas) Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins. St-Louis and Los Angeles have both never won the cup but the Blues have made the finals its first 3 years in the NHL and LA also made the finals only once in 1993 vs my Habs. Flyers were the first of the teams to win the cup only 2 times in the 70's and the Penguins won it 2 times in the early 90's 91 and 92. and Minnesota made the finals 2 times meaning the North Stars not the Wild but never won then moved to Dallas which they won a cup.

The current streak is held by Chicago Blackhawks (44 years, last win 1961, one season missed to lockout).

The longest ever streak is 54 years. New York Rangers won in 1940 and not again until 1994.

Well there is so many teams who have never even won the cup, but as for teams who have competed in the NHL, the streak belongs to New York Rangers, i think its like 54 years they went without winning. Many believed they were cursed when they burned their mortgage papers in the bowl of the cup.

Chicago, one of the original 6. And they don't have a very good chance this year either.
