Ever heard of "The Pythogoryan Therum" created by some random math dude that says a2+b2=c2? Well, that has nothing to do with this, but I just felt like saying that.

It goes to the space that you call "under the fridge". No one cleans under there, and no one cares what's under there.

It goes to Microsoft where Microsoft examines the data it receives from your computer to see if:

A.) It's just you receiving the error or that it's a serious problem.

B.) Is it something they can fix by releasing an update for one of their products that they sell (i.e. Windows, Internet Explorer, & Microsoft Office).

Of course if a program from a different company is causing the error they can't do much about it since it's not a program they developed. They will tell you that it might be a particular program that you're running and ask that you contact the company who developed that program.

Plus, if you're the only one receiving that particular error (very unlikely though) they may not give a fix. It costs money to release updates for their products as anyone can imagine. Just the nature of the business. They all do it - so it's not just a Microsoft thing.
