I'm shopping on the internet this year to save money; without paying a lot for shipping and handling. I was on overstock.com and found several items i wanted to purchase. The website said it was only 2.95 for shipping and handling after you've bought more than three items or have purchased books, dvds etc. mixed. Has anyone else shopped on overstock.com? I've shopped a few times on amazon.com, but the shipping and handling costs an arm and an leg. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have shopped at Overstock.com and I have been very pleased with my purchases. I have purchased sheets and blankets and the merchandise was excellent and you can't beat the low shipping price.

I do alot of shopping on line, as well as selling/buying on Ebay.
Some companies offer lower shipping rates because they sell more than other companies and/ or have a better shipping company.
With books, CD's and DVD's the United Postal Service considers those media, and offer a discount for shipping it.
Amazon.com is not the best site to shop at if youre looking for a deal on things either, they usualy dont have the lowest price and always charge more in shipping.

I ordered from Overstock.com once and will probably never do it again. They charged my card twice for the order and took over a month to reverse the charge, and on top of that they sent me the wrong items. By the time the return reached them, the item I'd originally purchased was out of stock. I ended up getting a full refund, but it took a while to process it.

I have shopped at Overstock.com before. I have bought comforter sets, sheet sets, blankets and pillows. It only cost with 2.95 and some days they have $1 shipping special. I trust this site completely.

Overstock is a reputable outfit. (I'm a little careful with clothing and bedding because they also sell irregulars. I was unhappy with some mis-fitting sheets.) But their prices are good and shipping is quick.
