I'm the AUNT! I flew in to AZ to see the birth of my twin sister's first baby!!! She is saying that they read they can't but I haven't been able to find anything that say's no. Just that the mucus plus is what helps keep bacertia out. Hell I want her to have this baby!! LOL....I have to go home on the 24th so I want all the time with my new niece....

Congratulations to your sister, I haven't heard anything about not been able to have sex except if your water has broken, I lost my plug 2 weeks before the birth and had sex after I lost it, Having sex can bring on labour but its not a guarantee as bub is the only one who can say when she's coming.
Hope your able to witness your niece's birth.

The plug is like a bacteria shield. If you have sex now it can travel up and around your baby, and can cause infection. But I have heard that alot of people do it to make labor come faster. I suggest not rushing a baby being born.

You can but you need to use a condom. It could make her go further into or speed labor up though.
Although in my experience that is a good thing :)

I asked my doc this at my last appt. She said not to because it is keeping bacteria and other things that can cause illness out!

Sure.. but expect to go into labor within a couple of days if not sooner if you've lost your plug..

I wouldn't. That is the "wall" to block bacteria from entering. I wouldn't. Too risky. Goodluck and CONGRATS
