Hints: Both are originally from NY. She is of Italian extraction and her screen name was a take off on an old comic book character (and also alluded to a particular skill.) His name is almost identical to the son of a recently deceased country legend. I will be shocked if anyone gets this but will say that if you are a particular fan of hers, you likely know this. If you are a fan of his, you are not likely aware.

Likely the final hint and if this isn't a dead giveaway, I don't know what is. The cartoon character, upon which she based her screen name, is known for her red hair.

Geez, after that last clue, I'd have thought someone would get it before the sun comes out tomorrow.

Final clue before deletion: The cartoon character is an orphan. The musician has nearly the same name as the late Buck Owens' son. (Only one letter different.)

Getting Warmer! The musician who is married to the porn star is named Buddy Allen, not to be confused with Buck's son Buddy Alan Owens, who went by the stage name Buddy Alan when he had his own carrer in music. (Still involved in radio, if I'm not mistaken.) Now, who is the adult film star (circa 1980's) who married Buddy Allen? The real clue lies within the hint regarding the cartoon character, of whom a highly successful Broadway musical is named.

OK, I've actually managed to confuse myself a bit here. The singer she married is named Buddy Owen, not Buddy Allen, although there is, indeed, another singer by that name! To further add to the confusion, during her adult career, she sometimes went by the name of Annie Owens (yes, with an "s"). There's another really big hint there!
