How can I make an exact copy of a DVD? What kind of DVD-Rom do I need?

Do I need special software, and if so can I get a shareware or other free version?

u need the following a good pc
a blank 4.7gb disk/dvd
and dvd shrink

free to use and play around with
this will turn a 7.4gb to a 4.7gb u will lose a bit of quality but hardly noticeable
