I am 37 weeks and tonight I stood up and it felt as if the baby was applying pressure down in my lower stomache and vagina. She is usually high, like right under my boobs I can feel ger butt, but I felt her butt right above my belly button instead of it being so high up. Does this mean that she dropped or is she just laying a different way now and I am being paranoid?
How did you know that your baby dropped...what did it feel like?
I would like to know, so I dont call my doctor and say she dropped if she didnt. Does this mean she will be coming soon?

if you feel her lower than yes she is dropping. It can take a bit for you to completely drop. I thought I was done because he was head down..lots of pressure down there and everything. Well yesterday I started feeling like he was in between my legs this time..like a bowling ball. I went to the doc. today and she said she has finished dropping. It depends on diff. people, it usually starts dropping 2-4 weeks before birth. You can go to babycenter.com and they have a ton of info there. Hope that everything works out great for you!

It sounds like the baby is prepared for birth and has dropped. Normally a baby doesn't just move like that during the last month cause there isn't much room to move, so if you can feel the butt and you were carrying under youe boobs, the baby has probably dropped.
Don't worry about phoning your doctor unless your water breaks, you are bleeding, or having other problems, but you dropping is a normal part of pregnancy.

Sounds like she did, but you don't need to call your dr and tell him unless he specifically told you to. She could be coming any time within the next 3 weeks, is usually how it works with dropping.
