What else do you need. The republicans are self destructing before our very eyes.

You may have forgotten this in the past seven days, but the Democrats were in position to take Congress BEFORE the Foley scandal. The war in Iraq, the deficit, numerous other instances of the GOP-led Congress overstepping it powers, the deficit, hundreds of 'signing statements' that Bush used to put himself above the law, the deficit, illegal warrantless wiretapping, the deficit, prisoner torture at Abu Graihb, the deficit, a pointless policy on immigration, the deficit, a total screw-up of an Education policy, the deficit, no exit strategy for Iraq, the deficit, no progress on Social Security, the deficit, becoming distanced even from his own party, the deficit, zero progress on lobbying reform, and the deficit. All of these were already giving the Democrats all the ammunition they needed. Foley is only a last-minute footnote to this election. If his scandal has any impact, it will be to convince some Republicans not to vote at all.

And did I mention the deficit?

What have the Republicans done? Seriously! Stay the course, what f'ing course are they even talking about? I can't believe their are still people, obviously without function brains, who still support them. Maybe the Dems do not have clear policies, but what is the alternative - complete corruption! Let's see, no WMDs (but doctored intelligence reports), major campaign contributions by the majorly corrupt Enron, the Abramoff fiasco, and the icing on the cake - Foley! This is the party of "morals" right? I mean, they really don't need to talk about Foley; your good ol' boys gave them plenty to discuss!

Iraq is a mess. I was/am against the war, but if you are going to attack send an overwhelming number of well-equipped troops. You should ever put our fine men and women in harms way by trying to run a war cheaply.

Greedy, sleazy corruption by lobbyist that have been organized by Rove and Co. The Dukester was a disgrace to everything good about our government.

Haliburton - How many no-bid contracts have they gotten and not delivered on?

Foley is a serious issue. House Republican leaders including Dennis Hastert, John Boener and Tom Reynolds chose to allow someone they knew was a pervert who was harassing underage kids, stay in office so they could remain in power. That is abuse of power! Republicans need to go!

Well, gee, there's an illegal and immoral war, an energy crisis, global warming, lack of universal health care, underfunded public education and a deficient FEMA to discuss, just to name a few things.LIberals and moderated have been talking about those things quite a bit while all neocons ever seem to want to discuss is Clinton.

I'm sure it's very uncomfortable to know your beloved GOP have nursed a viper at their bosom and sheltered a child predator for at least five years, but whining isn't going to make it go away. A culture of lies and assumed privilege to be above the law is coming to its natural fruits.

I have been waiting for a reason to support any Democrat and have none. All I hear is complaining and standing against anything Bush does. I want to vote out my Republican congressman for being too liberal and all I get is a communist who wants to tax more, cut and run in Iraq, ...

Yep.... read the news.

There's always the lacking educational funding, environmental protection, gay rights, the protection of the separation between church and state.... there's the drawing of voting districts and gerrymandering.... there's this guy running around with his crazy posse too.... what's his name???? oh yeah -bin Laden. Didn't someone promise to catch that guy???

Oh, but then it just gets soooo confusing after that.....

Basicly the Democrat platform is just to undo as much of the BUSHIT as they can.

I don't have any compelling arguments and Foley acted on his own behalf.

The only thing I would like to see is that he take responsibility for his own actions. The Republicans like to be the party of responsibility...let's prove it.

Of course...they're going to argue why its okay not to work and live off the government and then raise taxes to pay for it.

They'll also promise that (upon election) they'll change the laws where everyone can do whatever they want regardless of morality or consequence.
