This is the answer _ I _ gave:

You need to update your Java 'machine'.

UPDATE and Run ALL of your anti-virus/anti-malware programs.

After you do that, disconnect from the net and go to Start>Run and type in msconfig. Go to the start menu tab and uncheck everything in there. Reboot. Run scandisk and defrag. You can do this by going to My Computer and Right clicking on Disk C>Properties>Tool Tab for each procedure. Then go back to msconfig and only check what you want running in the background like your antivirus and other antimalware progs. You can still use what is left unchecked-they just won't be running in the background eating up resources. Reconnect to the net after you shut off your computer and then reboot, set a restore point if you know how. Your computer is now clean and fixed!

This is how I handled it when I had that happen to me, too.

JAVA BLOWS!!! but is necessary since a lot of websites are using it now.

I suggest you copy and paste that to some sort of document and print it off to follow as you go. You need to follow these instructions for both the programs you are having problems with. Just uninstall them before you start and re-install them both when the above answer says to install the Java prog.

Might check my Answers by clicking on my name and finding and looking at all my Answers about the computer stuff (like Internet, Security, etc.) and follow the directions I give there to clean other unwanted files off of your computer before you re-install the two progs you're talking about, and how to run defrag and scan disk, etc.

I HAVE to get off of my puter now or I'd give you full instructions here.....sorry.

What browser are you using?

Sounds like the same problem i've faced.. you might be using firefox?

The truth is.... adobe flashplayer doesn't actually work on firefox.
I've worked on it for forever myself, and it can't install/function properly on mozilla firefox (any version)

So if your using firefox then that's your problem. You'll become addicted to the speed and then not even care about the flash player not working.

Java, that should work... You have to enable it under tools options.
If that's already enabled then visit www.java.com and make sure you have the latest version installed.

happy finding.
haha, good luck.

Sounds like your browser has activeX, and plugins disabled. Puposely or not, you will have to change the browser's security settings to see if it is allowing plugins and java.
