Absoloutely, you just have to get a pocket knife and scrape it back and forth on your jeans where you want a hole It will take a while, but its all worth it.

take a pair of scissors and open them up..run the blade up and down over the knee area...this will start a slow pattern of the torn vintage look in a few Min's u will get the look ya want. ;) I use to do it all the time to my jeans.

Try sandpaper, It can take a while, but If you rub long enough you'll start to get a slight hole, or if you rub all over you can create a worn patch.

Best of Luck

Just buy a great pair of Levi's and wear them around the house a lot, its really the only way to get the "vintage" look.
