You know how every once in a while you get the Windows thing asking you to Express Install or Custom Install updates? Well I clicked Express Install and then I clicked cancel by accident and now I want to know how to install the updates. Any ideas?

Open Internet Explorer.

Go here:

http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

It's Microsoft's update site.

BTW, if you set your updates to Automatic (look in your control panel) it will update by itself.

Hope this helps.

Okay open up www.windowsupdate.com. You may need to allow acitve X to install so the website can check your computer for any needed updates. When it comes up to the Express or Custom Install click on Custom Install. It will then find any VERY necessary updates you NEED and will also find any driver and or non-critical updates that you can choose from. When it shows all of them check or uncheck any you want downloaded. When it is complete it will have the window show INSTALL. Click on install and away you go.

Click on your Start button, All Programs. At the top of the window will be Windows Update or Microsoft Update. Click on that and it will go to the update site.

With Automatic Updates that were canceled as long as the Automatic Updates are enabled it will automatically try the incomplete update again later or after the computer has been restarted..
