you could do this two ways.
1) take the 10 and substract it from the 20 so you have -2x =10 and then divide each side by -2 and you would get x=-5
2) take the 20 and substract it from 10 and move the 2x on the other side of the = sign and it would be -10=2x then divide each side by 2 and you get -5=x
