20 years is enough. Old paint wants to be sold to Mexico. Besides the base 2006 frontier truck has 170 horsepower 4 cyl engine. 4x4 fully loaded trucks have 260 horsepower 4.0 liter V-6 auto climate control and crew cab or king cab now even long bed! What are you waiting for? Better gas mileage and you will look great driving up in your new truck!

Possible fuel problem but as a rule fuel problems don't come and go that radically all on one trip.
That little thing has 2 ignition systems and on occasion, one of them will fail, and the plugs on that side of the head won't fire for a while, then the coil gets all excited again and lites up again. I would look into a restricted fuel filter, but also check the coil(s) for loaded failure.
Good Luck

looks like the alternator, if it became working fantastic with new battery ,you have been probably working off the bsattery on my own. Then the spark have been given weaker and weaker the radio gets fuzzy and the lighting fixtures are dim,it likely is the alternator. in case you cost the battery it may be adequate to get you to an vehicle section save(no radio, lighting fixtures etc..) they are able to run a try on the vehicle...and value you up adequate to get domicile and positioned the recent one in...
