Sounds weird, I know. But seriously, when I hear like a song from the 90's, it makes me sad. I was born in '91. Why does 90's music make me sad?

Nope, the music isn't sad. Just regular songs make me sad. Even stuff from the 90's like when I see old reruns of Friends, it makes me a little sad. Just stuff like that. What's up?

Because you miss living in the 90's...
back when Full House and TGIF used to come on television... I miss those days... but, I am older than you (born in 86). I wish TGIF still came on with shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch.... I wish Steve Urkel was still on tv... I miss MTV actually playing music... I hate turning on the tv only to find either nothing on or something that is full of violence and bad language. What happened to the good times?

because you were a child then and life was much simplier, I'm 24 now born in 82 seems like so long ago even though I know its not, but its not so much the 80s i miss it's the 90s.

When I hear a song, I sometimes feel the way I felt when I first heard the song. It takes me back subconsciously.
Maybe you were sad about other things when you first heard those nineties songs, and hearing them now takes you back to your feelings at that time.

It probably means you miss the 90's i miss them too whenever i hear a song from back then i start remembering my childhood now im 15...boy do we grow fast..

Is your life harder now than it was when you were younger. If so, you could get sad because you are missing, "the good old days."
Conversely, if you had an unhappy childhood, the music could remind you of terrible times.
