It's beyond sad and very very tragic. Lidle in the prime of his life is now gone leaves a wife and a six year old child. My heart goes out to his family and his friends. Most people on this board has said some very kind things and have made some wonderful tributes, but some people that are negative and saying stupid and hurtful things need not to say anything. This is a tragedy and young man has died at 34 tragically and much too young.

Yes, it's very sad. When things like this happen, you always wonder "what if?". What if he hadn't flown today, what if the Yankees had won the series against Detroit? Why didn't they know ahead of time that there was a problem with the fuel gauge?
It's sad. He wasn't a great pitcher, but you always admire the guys who don't have a lot of talent, but a lot of heart and desire. It's very sad that he was only 34 and left behind a wife and 6 year old son. Tragic indeed.

I read about the plane crash this afternoon, but I only found out about an hour ago that it was him. As a Phillies fan, I've seen him pitch quite a few times, and though he wasn't a superstar, he'd never quit on you. May he rest in peace, and may God watch over his wife and child.

That was sooo sad....My room mate told me that a plane crashed into a building and I thought that there was another terrorist attack but then I found out that it was him flying a plane and it crashed into an apartment building. That's really sad.

150 Americans die each day in traffic accidents. I can't feel sorry for them all so I won't fell sorry for this guy that I didn't even know either. Realisticaly this guy did something really dumb and dangerous and probably hurt or killed many other people along with himself.
Sad for the family, but this is just darwinism in action...

Very sad. I wish they were still playing so he would not have been flying that stupid little plane.
