Sometimes the zinc oxide or the aluminum compound that causes the reaction. It can last up to 3-5 days if you don't irritate it furthur. Get some calamine lotion or some oatmeal type anti-itch cream and put it on 3 times a day. If you can handle smelling just a bit for a few days, don't put any deodorant on for 3-4 days. It will prevent a re-aggravation.
Good luck and God Bless!

try switching different brands of deodorant for now. You could also take some binodryl or apply a anti-histamine cream to help soothe the welts.

It could be from your deoderant or soap. Buy a different brand. Mild, moisture filled brands like Dove are good for sensitive skin.
Also it could be due to your razor or ingrown hairs. Change the blade and apply a bit of witch hazel after shaving to avoid irritation.
If none of these things help consult your family doctor.

You need to go to doctor as you might have staph infection which is common for women under the armpits. Also, sometimes women can get boils that need to be lanced there. Go to doctor or clinic. Why suffer. If it is driving you nuts then you go to the doctor.

Try changing deodorants and see which one helps, and use your own razor, don't share it. Put some cream on it.

Yep, sounds like razor burn. Try switching to a lotion hair remover.
