I need an online repair manual, preferably Chilton's, that is free to view on the internet. Any links to that would be appreciated. I can't seem to find any of this stuff just by browsing. Also, I need to find out the parts number for the gasket set by FELPRO for a sb 305. Nothing else will substitute, FELPRO only. Any links to that site would be great. Thanks for any response.

none of these sites/repair manuals offer p/n information. just go to your local parts store and ask. these are pretty common sets and they can tell you the number fast. be sure to ask for the fel-pro number if different from their's. also a book is 15-20 dollars for ever. this is best route. e autorepair.com is 10 dollars a month for one vehicle only.

Surely you understand that the information contained in repair manuals is both expensive and copyrighted?
There is no one I know of that can afford to buy the information you seek and then distribute it at no cost on the 'net.
If someone WERE so inclined, there is also the issue of the copyright laws. (Can you say NAPSTER?)
If you want quality information, the only way that you can get it at no cost is at the local library.
There you can use the manuals that the library has purchased, but again, most librarians are pretty aggressive about enforcing the copyrights of the publishers, and photocopying the manual(s) is prohibited.
If the data you need or want isn't available at the library, and you don't want to purchase the manuals, go here-------->

...and for an annual subscription fee, you have access to ALL the published repair data for your car, including diagnostic and repair information, diagrams, illustrations, instructions, specs, TSBs, recalls and more. And because you are paying the license fee for the information, you can print it out for car-side reference.
