Just to clarify i'm not the one doing this - but my husband did and I've been finding it really hard getting over it. He says he never intended anything by it and that I am being unreasonable - so thought I would see what other people think. Thanks for all the responses so far!!

Yes, your sharing intimate conversations w/another other than your spouse. What it does is steals the very deepest intimacy you share w/your spouse. Cheating is cheating, regardless of the format.

YES YES YES. I am a victim of my husband's explicit sexual flirting with a 19 year old [is it you?]. In my mind, it is cheating. No matter what he or the little whore have to say about it. It is stepping outside of a marriage. We have a 3 year old. We've been married for 7 years, and were going through a mildly rocky period b/c of my disagreement with what I think is his substance abuse. Too much to get into, but if a woman emails a married man pictures of her genitals and tells him to come over and f her, f her hard, and put his d--- inside of her, and sends him nude pics and solicitations [granted he is the imbecile who not only participated in soliciting her for what he considered real live porn, but in stepping out of our marriage] - that is cheating. He will owe the therapist A LOT of money this year. By the way if you decide to be this dumb I sure hope your spouse doesn't find the pictures and emails when he or she hacks into your email for a perfectly innocent reason. My retinas still burn with the images of the whore. I am not sure I will ever forget her words. They tear me apart on a daily basis, and it has been 2 months.

The answer to this question is: If your partner did the same thing you are doing, would that be ok with you? Would the explicit sexual flirting count as cheating? What if your partner were doing this with your best friend? Harmless and ok?

Explicit sexual flirting is an emotional intimacy and includes sharing with other then your spouse your feelings.
Would you approve your spouse flirting and would she approve your flirting. If both of you agree you will have kind of open marriage if ether does not approve then any attempt is cheating.

why of course it does if you are married or have a boyfriend. Your husband or boyfriend wouldn't want to be with someone that flirts, because flirting leads to other things...so if you're going to flirt, you are wrong...so why not take it a step futher and do the real thing, besides you already are cheating!

Yes and no. Well yes I guess, because it's flirting (not to mention sexually plus it's inviting), and no, because you haven't actually done anything physical. Of course if someone asked this again I probably would end up saying yes. lol

Yes! If you're a loving and faithful partner, you don't feel the need to flirt at all with any other woman or man because you're happy with your spouse.

First of all, you don't need to be in a relationship if your are asking that question. You are not a confident person if you flirt and you have relationship. Are you pulling your boobs out of your shirt?? Grow up and you should know.

Yes, because it's a type of betrayal. Anytime you're concerned about this, just imagine your partner doing it. That usually helps clear things up.
