You won't feel any pain if you are medicated properly. You will maybe have a slightly numb area for a couple of months after but your body will readjust & you'll hardly know it after 6 months.
I have heard of scars aching if they get out in the cold for long-but you don't need to do that do you!
Good luck

I didn't feel any pain until the first time they made me stand up. that lasted for a little bit, until I got up moving around good. But, the pain medication works wonders! I am still tender after mine from time to time, 3 weeks ago on Friday. If you had one and felt no pain, thats great! I wish I had no pain. The first time standing up, feels like everything is falling out of you. It was horrible.

i have had four c-sections and i rather have that than go threw the pain of labor its really not that bad. they more than likely will give you loratab after the c-section for you to take at home that will keep you comfortable. i just took ibuprofen unless the pain got to strong but it really isn't that bad.i just had my last c- section a month and a half ago. don't worry your doctor will take care of any pain that you have.

The spinal starting wearing off about 2 hours later, I think at least, then they give you more pain killers to help alleviate the pain.

they forgot to tell me i could have anything for pain and i didn't automatically get it. took about 4 hours or so for the spinal to wear off enough to feel pain and by 6 hours i was in so much pain nothing they gave me after that touched it.

the second time i was told to ask for pain medication as soon as i started to feel any tingling in my legs. i'm so glad i did, it was so much easier to keep it under control that way.

so that's my advice to anyone who is having a c-cection: be smart and ask for pain meds as soon as you feel any kind of tingling in your legs.

You won't feel much pain because they monitor it and give you drugs to keep you comfortable. Don't be anxious. It isn't that bad. If I can do it, any woman can! :)
