Why is this the unspoken norm in America?
I knew three different people who killed themselves while on these drugs... actually more than three now that I am thinking about it.

Why do people run for the pill bottle rather than talk to a REAL therapist that could help them work on their life.

Actually, my mom takes them because she has been hard on me, and her DOCTOR even recommended them. She even told me she would find a pyschologist, but she never did.
But I'm never worried that she's going to have sucidial thoughts...especially when I'm at school. And if she dies, then I have to live with my uncle...
I would even take them if I could, but I'm 11 and I'm really worried that I'll actually really have suicidial thoughts because I've had them even though I haven't taken any medicine. But don't worry, I'm not that much depressed...I think.

alot of people also do both.It is easier for people to get an antidepressant than go and work on their issues.it is the easy way out. BUT I don't think people realize that. I think our society solves everything with a pill.I think doctors need to step up and not prescribe unless therapy and antidepressants are going hand in hand
