GCF is always the smallest exponent on each different factor
therefore
y^2 * (y + 4)^ 3 is the GCF
factoring out this leaves
[ 1 + y (y + 4)]

which reduces to
y^2 (y + 4)^3 * ( y^2 + 4y + 1)

OK?
