My opinion. It just doesn't sound right for a married guy to have a best friend as a female. (unless it is his wife) Why did she stop calling--can't she be friends with your wife??? or be friends with your wife around--if it just friends??? Yes, it sure sounds suspicious to me. I think I'd have to agree with your wife. Sorry.

It sounds like you have a very supportive friend who cares a lot about you. I think your wife might be over-reacting, especially if she (the friend) stopped calling and emailing you after your wife came back. Maybe your wife has some insecurities that she needs to face. You could help her with that by showing her how important she is to you and how devoted you are to her and her alone. Surprise her with little gifts, flowers for no reason, cook her favorite dinner for her without telling her about it first. Have the house clean when she comes home from work or send her out to get a massage or pedicure and clean the house while she's gone. Little things like that mean a lot to women. The way we see it, it's the little things that show us you love us and how important we are to you. Tell her how much you cherish her and want her and no one else. Point out that your best friend hasn't called or emailed since the two of you got back together. Maybe even go so far to let her know that your friend was in favor of you guys working things out, but only tell her that if it's the truth!!

Remember, little things go a long way to women. Big things on special occasions, but in day to day life, it's the little things we remember and brag about to our friends!! Good Luck!

From what you say, it seems like she does like you, so I don't blame your wife for thinking so. But she can't be mad at you for how another woman feels. and anyway SHE left, not you! If you really want to work things out with your wife, though, I would say leave the best friend alone. Your wife is supposed to be your best friend anyway.

I think you need to stop playing one against the other. I hope your best friend knows this. Your friend may have did those things because she thought you were lonely and was trying to cheer you up or maybe she thought something could have developed between you two. The fact that she's no longer in contact with you now is letting you know that whatever she thought you two had is over.

if it bothers her stop . you wanted her back . patch things up first and make her comfortable then discuss your friendly relationship with your wife and see where it goes from there
