I didn't quite freak, but I did wonder what a small plane was doing flying in that area. I thought it was still under restrictions for general aviation. I was sad to hear that people died. That plane, the sr-20, has a much higher accident rate than most similar sized planes.

I panicked. We're a Military family stationed overseas, and I seen just the end of the story on CNN Europe, so I had no clue what was going on. I called my mom back home in the States and she told me what had happened. I was glad to know it wasn't another terrorist attack, but I feel awful that the New York Yankees' lost their pitcher, Cory Lidle, in the crash.

I was more freaked by the high wind and change in temp locally , Im in the midwest. I didn't see the plane info till after the details that it was an accident were known. Sad for the Yankies.

i have had a pilot's license for 40 years and when i heard it was a small plane i just figured a real dumbass idiot nut went flying where and when he should not have been. hope he has lots of insurance to pay for all the damage he caused. at least no one of any importance got killed.

I was freaked out when I WATCHED it IN PERSON!!!

Did you guys all get that same sick feeling even after they confirmed it was an accident. . . I feel like it didn't matter to my body - I was still shaking

ARKIE: What the hell is wrong with you? Every life is equally important. Besides, was that just a dig to the Yankees?

I live in Canada and my mouth dropped open. It reminded me of that horrific day in 2001 when the towel-topped terrors made their icky mark.
