I recently saw a special on this on ABC but I'm sure someone else might be more specific. In the year 2019 (I think that's the year) , an asteroid is going to pass close enough to earth that it will pass underneath our orbiting satellites. There's a chance that Earth's gravitational pull might affect its orbit just enough that it will nail us 7 years later when it returns. This was on a few months ago so I don't remember the details exactly.

if you are as old as me, the answer is no, but if you have another 100 years to live ,then keep looking up, but things could get worse than that, a third world war and most of us would wish an asteroid would hit earth.

Any answer given to you will be pure speculation. But we are due for another large sized impact - it has happened before, it will happen again.
