log2 24-log2 3= log2 (24/3) = log2 (8)=3.
So log5 x=3 thus x=5^3=125.

log2 24 - log2 3 = log5 x

Since 24 and 3 have the same log base of 2, we can combine them.

log2 (24/3) = log5 x
log2 8 = log5 x

We know that 8 is actually 2 to the power of 3, or rather 8 = 2^3.
Thus,

log2 2^3 = log5 x
3 = log5 x
x = 5^3
x = 125

NOTE: Remember that logx x is always 1. Thus 3log2 2 is 3(1).
