sorry, but /(over) 2x + 12 is not clear
and 2x + 12 4x^2 - 4 is also awkward

clean up your expressions
that is...be more precise with your typing
and some one will be able to help you

OK?

a^3 - 1728b^3 will factor to:

(a-12b)(a^2+12ab+144b)

for your first part, I don't understand the part where you have 2x+12 4x^2-4.
