I'm in the market for a new vehicle and am hoping to find out which companies (specifically interested in Toyota, Chevy and Ford) typically have the best incentives and when? Should I hold off now and wait until late December to save money on a brand new 2006?

Most ppl think it's new years day or christmas but not true. That's when they have their sales. You want a time that they are DESPERATE to get rid of cars to make more room for new of next year(in our case, as in 2007). If buying old, anytime is same(maybe holidays ppl get into the spirit so couple hundred $ less). However, if you want new 2006 and want to save $2,000-3,000 More than even Sale Price, then during (Mid-End of)OCTOBER(when dealers traditionally restock their lots with 2007 ones and try to get rid of 2006 new cars to make room) 2006.

In late December there wont be many 2006 models left. Toward the end of the month is a good time to shop also. There is no set timetable the incentives come out when sales are slow. Go to the web sites of the car companies they have the current incentives published there.

October. Now.
Closer to month end is better.

Look how many people said December, and Christmas.. thats exactly what they are ready for, rubbing their greasy little mitts together waiting for you and your Christmas money! lol

I have bought 5 new vehicles in the last 10 years. The best deals we had were in September and October.

Good luck!

year's end. All dealers need to make room for the next years vehicles that are already out. Also they want to hit thier year end bonus targets. Always ask for their factory invoice. Do not pay more than $500 over that invoice. they could even sell it for factory price, as they do get incentives and bonus off the invoice price.

end of the month is right. and if you wanna be even more specific, go on monday morning. monday because thats a long way away from the weekend for the salesmen, AND if its early in the morning hopefully nobody else will be there so all the attention is on you, so are the deals.

Close to Christmas, on the very worst day! Salespeople are hungry to make a deal! Dealerships need to sale cars, and everyone is spending on Christmas.

The best time is just before the new models come out. You still get a new car with a full warranty.

Car dealers have quotas to fill every ten days and for every month. Go in toward the end of the month-- you should do OK.
