No. Not really. That would include not being economically dependent either on the other country or the US. For example isolationism (which is a conservative belief) would cut off aid to people desperate for it. Also, it would ruin the world economy we now live in. Additionally, the terrorists would not just say, well then forget about it. They have their holy mission now.

HELL NO!!!! I'm not gonna lie I'm am American. OK I'm not proud of the dumb *** we have as a president! and all the lives he has ended! But i cant do anything about that, I'm only 14 years old. i don't know if u know anything about the holocaust, but Adolf Hitler killed 6 million Jews! and if allies didn't come he would have killed them all! what if Steven Harper convinced people that a centian religion needed to go into concentration camps? in the concentration camps you were starved, raped, And tortured! What if one of people were your best friend, your mother, father, sister, brother, or even you? wouldn't you want help? but who would help you? the people of your country have been brain washed into thinking that Steven Harper was right? And other country's minded there own business, you would change your mind then! And right now your probably thinking that that would never happen now days right? WRONG!! you should see hotel Rwanda! how about you watch that movie first and get back 2 me on that.

YES. Everyone mind your own business and take care of your own people. Stay home where you belong, leave others alone. The world would be safer and a much nicer place to live if we all butted out of other countries problems.

Yes, that would be nice but it unfortunately would never work. I don't like how America seems to stick its nose into every body's business just because they think they can. Trying to police the world and telling other leaders how to run their country is wrong, but helping countries in need isn't. There's a way to help and not overstep your boundaries. Canadians have been doing it for years. Yes, that's right.....America isn't the only country on the planet that helps countries in need.

I agree, I am so sick of the US jumping in all over the world! Let the Indonesians starve, or die of gangrene for that matter, tsunamis are natural, we shouldn't have helped! Bosnia? What right did we have to tell the Serbs to stop killing those people! Let them die! We need to concentrate on things closer to home. Afghanistan wanted to be terrorized by the Taliban, look, a couple areas there haven't killed all of the Taliban supporters in their region! Darfur may have the odd ten thousand people getting killed recently, but it isn't our problem.

There is no perfect world, but withdrawing from ugly situations adopted for noble reasons usually leads to the situation simply getting worse. You might feel better in the short term if you take the cowards way out, inaction, but you leave the world a much worse place.

absolutely not. You need to think of it on a smaller scale. It's playground politics. Why be friends with the big guy??? cuz he can protect you from the bullies. The world is full of bullies, and there's lot's of little guys out there who need our help. And someday we're going to need someone's help. Sometimes you may think we need to mind our own business.... and sometimes we do, but we are all on the same big ball... we need to think globally

YES... America thinks its right... Iraq thinks it's right... Israel thinks its right... Lebanon thinks it's right... North Korea think's it's right...

Whoever has the biggest army determines what policies are implemented, not the people with the right ideas... and that's wrong.

If it was arabs that had colonised america then maybe arabs would be trying to run the world, not americans... which, I, think, would be more than ideal considering most arabs are pacifists and dont believe in violence

America has utterly destroyed Iraq and thousands upon thousands of Iraqi's lives... just because they are scared of "terrorists."

Who next...?
