Irrespective of the type if injury the immediate vascular response to any kind of injury is transient vasoconstriction, followed by progressive persistent vasodilatation, due to this vasodilatation there is increased blood flow in the microvascular blood , this response is responsible for Redness and warmth at the site of inflammation

Persistent Vasodilatation increases the local hydrostatic pressure , causing exudation of the plasma fluid into the interstitial tissue compartment , this is responsble for swelling (tumor) at the site of inflammatiion.

At the onset of inflammation, the blood vessels widen and the blood flow to the area is increased.
This causes the tell tale signs of redness, heat as well as swelling and it is the swelling (primarily) that kicks in the pain receptors.

Warmness of the area , redness and blister looking. It is cause by a foreign substance entering the area.
