I guess it's time for me to inform my collegues n boss of my pregnancy as i have to go for a frequent check up(eg. once a month and getting frequent until i deliver). Now the problem is i'm really stress of how to let my boss n also the collegues know.Should I tell my collegues 1st before i inform my boss?I seldom see my big boss as it's a partnership company. All i meet everyday is the minor partners therefore the big boss might not even care of my appearance.I afraid that the minor partners is not as considerate as they are. They might fired me after knowing i am pregnant as i have to take up maternity leave in a few months time and have to absence for check up frequently. There is no rules in our company saying of how to handle a pregnant lady since i only started working for 5 months. This mean when i had maternity leave, i still not yet 1 year in this company.Should i wrote a letter to my big boss telling him i am pregnant n not to fired me as i need this job very much or otherwise?

I don't want to get worried everyday of this matter as i hope my baby to stay healthy. But i really stress of it and can't much concertrate in my daily work. My tummy getting bigger and becos of i don't know how disclose off my pregnancy, i could not wear maternity clothes yet and have to fit myself in my normal office wear. I want to let everyone i'm happy of my pregnancy but in this matter i have to keep to myself and stressing of getting fired. I like my job and it's hard to express to someone how i feel as i am a quiet person. My husband knows but not much he can do except i, myself figure out how to settle it. I hope to let everyone knows as soon as possible so i no need to keep everything to myself and stay happy. What i should do? No ones understand!!!

i can't let go of this job as i need it to support myself. My husband's pay is not enough after all. If i tell the supervisor, i don't think he can help me with anything except let me go off as he is not an understanding person at all. He can tell the big boss whatever he wanted to without my knowledge as i wasn't close to the big boss. I really worried.

How should i start my conversation with my boss? What i should tell him? Should i suggest unpaid maternity leave to prevent him from firing me? It may be unfair for me but as long as i can keep my job then anything will be fine for me..

Are you saying that your contract does not cover maternity leave? That's really unfair.. Is there no legal laws in woman's charter to cover your maternal leave and entitlement? Check yr appointment letter. If there is coverage, pls inform yr immediate supervisor. Can they legally fire you becos yr r pregnant? Pregnancy is a happy moment, y should u b unhappy and stress? Get your document out and check the finer prints... good luck

Oh COME ON.

I'm sure they noticed by now, first off. Second, there are unpaid maternity/parental leave policies.

Write the boss a short note letting him know you're popping out a kid, and hope to return to work shortly after that. Then, tell your co-workers. It's not that hard!! You shouldn't expect to be PAID for the time you'll be TAKING OFF.. that's absurd. Especially since you've been there only 5 months. UNPAID MATERNITY LEAVE IS HOW IT WORKS.. OMFG.

Go to your supervisor (who do you call if you are sick and need to tell someone, - thats your supervisor) if no supervisor get a hold of the big boss try and be upbeat and not sound like a victim , and inform him/her of the situation, be honest about how you are going to handle work with the baby, after that call an impromptu meeting with colleagues and let everybody know/ reiterate how you feel about continuing working with them and how happy you are.

If work make U THAT stessed up, U should take the year off. Stress for pregnant lady is NOT good at all.Carrying a child in Ur belly for nine months is a lot of work it self. Don't burder Ur self with any other worries.Just stay relaxed and be happy.

If they're at all human, they will be happy for you, and do everything they can to make it work for you. Otherwise, it's a job you don't need after all.
You shouldn't have to beg forgiveness for having a family and a life. It's only a job.

Good luck
