What is the name of the representation of the devil in tarrot cards that templers from the first crusade refer to the devil as? Bafloment, Baflament: not sure how it's spelled or pronounced.

The devil symbolises Pan the half-goat god of nature. It generally symbolises amibitions, temptation or addiction. It's not necessarily a 'bad' card but it can act as a warning. I

Please be more specific.

In a general way, the devil represents a challenge that someone will face & have to overcome. It is necessary for growth, & not necessarily a bad thing to get this card. One view( which I had found helpful) was to see the devil as the ego - our own selfishness - which threatens anything constructive we try to accomplish.
