It always used to be sitting American President,But now for a short time you can consider Mr.Putin because he can manipulate Europe by his control over gas and his energy policies.GW Bush has lost a lot of face because of war and his arrogant policies.

George Bush is obviously not the most powerful man... he uses fear to solidify his rule. He's as big a terrorist as any.

The most powerful person in the world is not a political leader, or someone with a lot of money. The most powerful person in the world has to be a motivator or a spiritual leader, that convinces people to act or think or behave a certain way, without needing to resort to fear tactics or intimidation.

I would probably have to say the Pope or the Dalai Lama.
